Egyptian Shirt This is a shortened shirt-length version of the traditional Egyptian galabia or man's robe. Loose-fitting style with side panels and slit pockets. The yoke can be turned to the inside, or to the outside for interesting contrast. Instructions are included for knotted buttons, decorative cording, soutache applique, and lengthening the shirt to make the galabia. Misses 6-16; Men's 32-44 Recommended Fabrics: Crisp or soft fabrics such as muslin, lightweight denim, broadcloth, or light- or medium-weight cotton. For applique pieces, use 100% cotton.
