Janome 1600P is the only high-speed quilting machine on the market with 6 exclusive ball bearing bushings, each with 8 to 12 steal bearings, on the main top, bottom and feed shafts. This insures trouble free shaft rotation and variable speed without binding or slowing down regardless of how many hours you sew. Standard metal bushings without bearings can heat up or corrode which causes binding, slowing down of the machine and eventual seizing up.
