4 1/2 " buttonhole scissors, chrome over nickel plated, adjustable screw, packaged in hang bag. Gingher buttonhole scissors are fitted with an adjustable screw which can be used to predetermine the exact length of a cut before using them to open a buttonhole. By marking a piece of scrap fabric with the length of the buttonhole and making practice cuts while dialing in the length of cut with the adjustable screw, you can avoid the weakening or ruining of the buttonhole that occurs when one accidentally cuts into the securing buttonhole threads.
