The knife edge permits sharp cutting all the way to the points and can be sharpened with the G-S sharpening stone. Used in industry for cutting leather, upholstery fabric, drapery fabric and rubber, these shears are very heavy and have large handles - they are recommended only for those who are cutting heavier fabrics.
